A sample answer

What's a campaign that failed?

We put a third of a quarter's budget into display ads for reach. Clicks looked fine, but almost none turned into trials. I paused it after three weeks, moved the money to search and customer referrals, and cost per trial halved. I now cap new channels at 10% of budget until they've proved themselves.

A made-up example to show the structure. Use your own experience and real numbers.
