Long description

Ghostpilot is a desktop app for people in the middle of a job search, native on macOS today with Windows on the roadmap. During a video or phone call it listens to both sides, transcribes the speech on the Mac itself, and decides on the device which sentences are real questions. Only those are sent to the language model, together with short briefs of the user's CV and the job description, and the answer streams into a floating overlay in about a second. Answers come as short bullet points the user can glance at, retry, shorten or lengthen.

For technical interviews it reads a screenshot of a coding problem and returns the approach, the code and its complexity; a VS Code extension does the same inside the editor. Before the interview, the web dashboard runs mock interviews with scores and feedback, builds a question bank from the CV and the job, checks the CV and keeps a job tracker.

Ghostpilot was built to cost less than its competitors, which charge $55 to $150 a month. Because speech is transcribed on the device and small talk never reaches the model, a 30-minute interview costs about four cents of model time, so Ghostpilot can sell a 7-day pass and single calls instead of only long subscriptions. Call audio is never stored, and the service runs on servers in Germany.

Ghostpilot is built for conversations where AI help is allowed: practice, mock interviews, meetings, sales and support calls. Whether the overlay is hidden from screen share depends on the macOS version and the app that captures the screen, so the app includes a test to check it. We ask writers not to describe Ghostpilot as undetectable.
